The Upright MRI is an open magnetic resonance imaging system that produces painless, high-quality images of selected body regions. Unlike conventional tube-shaped MRI scanners, the Upright / True open MRI allows examinations in natural sitting or standing position. With an open space in front and above, it provides excellent comfort – especially for patients with claustrophobia.

Upright MRI is ideal for patients with claustrophobia and for conditions where symptoms change with posture. It is particularly useful for degenerative spine diseases, load-dependent pain, surgical assessment and specialized studies such as positional or multipositional MRI.
We assess your symptoms, medical history and any previous imaging to determine the optimal examination position.
You are seated or positioned standing inside the open system. Metal objects must be removed before entering the MRI area.
The examination is performed in the position most relevant to your symptoms—sitting, standing or semi-upright.
The magnet operates on both sides of the body while the front and top remain open. The system acquires detailed images without the feeling of being enclosed.
